Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iOS Settings › tap your name › Subscriptions › Scribe AI › Cancel Subscription. You can also tap Manage Subscription in the app's Settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I paid but the app still shows the paywall
Open the app's Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If it still doesn't work, email us.
Does the free trial charge me?
The free trial is free. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to the paid plan you selected, and Apple charges your account. You can cancel any time during the trial and keep access until it ends.
Are my recordings private?
Yes. Audio is recorded and transcribed on your iPhone and is never uploaded. Only the text transcript is sent to create your summary, and it isn't stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy.
Which languages are supported?
Scribe AI transcribes every language your iPhone supports for offline speech recognition, such as English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese. The exact list depends on your iPhone and iOS version. Choose yours in the app's Settings › Transcription Language. Summaries are written in the language of the recording.
Transcription says the language isn't supported
Pick a different language in Settings › Transcription Language. The list shows only languages your iPhone can transcribe offline. Updating iOS can add more.
Transcription stopped or failed on a long recording
Keep Scribe AI open while a recording is being transcribed. Long recordings can take a few minutes. If it fails, open the note and tap Try Again. Your recording is kept.
The microphone isn't working
Open iOS Settings › Scribe AI and turn on Microphone and Speech Recognition.
Can I record calls?
iOS doesn't allow apps to record phone calls. You can record calls on speakerphone, but laws on recording conversations differ by location. Always get consent from the people you record.
How do I delete my data?
Swipe left on a note to delete it, or delete the app to remove all notes and recordings. To ask us to delete the subscription and usage records linked to your app installation, email us with the App ID shown in the app's Settings.
